Profesyonel meslek kodları, çalışma rutinleri ve standartlaşmış haber üretme pratikleriyle de desteklenen bilgi önyargıları aynı zamanda epizodik öyküsel haber üretme eğiliminin bir yansıması olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. Sonuç olarak, haberlerin içerdiği bilgi problemleri olarak bilgi önyargıları, haberin kamusal işlevlerini yetine getirmesini önlemekte; dünyayı ve sosyal çevrelerini haber aracılığıyla algılayan, yorumlayan okurları donanımsız bırakmakta ve buna bağlı olarak sağlıklı toplumsal kanaatlerin oluşmasına engel oluşturmaktadır. In this article, the concept of "information biases", which W. Lance Bennett uses in his book Political Illusion and Mediain which he examines the American media, while analyzing news texts through the relationship between political actors and journalism, is adapted to the news samples in the Turkish media and the categories identified by Bennett are within this framework, information problems in the news were examined. The aim of the article is to reveal the forms in which information problems that reflect the widespread understanding of journalism in the media take place in the news and to draw attention to the macro consequences that this reading practice may cause for news consumers. In this direction, Bennett's analysis of information biases, which he discussed in four categories under the names of personalization, dramatization, fragmentation and normalization, was adapted to news samples selected from the Turkish media with the purposeful sampling method by using qualitative content analysis method.
